      <description>The Bahamas Department of Meteorology has advised that the Turks and Caicos Islands are expected to enter a heat wave beginning Friday, 8 May 2026. The heat index is expected to be between 102°F to 108°F across the country. Conditions are forecast to reach and remain within the “Excessive Heat” range for at least 3 to 5 days.</description>
